Black Thorn — registered as D200, known as Ochee in Hokkien and Duri Hitam in Malay — is widely considered the most complex premium durian in Malaysia. Its deep orange-gold flesh delivers a custard-dense sweetness layered with a subtle wine-like, almost alcoholic depth, a profile that has earned it the title of King of Kings at the World Durian Championship. On the open market, Black Thorn commands prices equal to or higher than Musang King due to its limited and intensely seasonal yield.
