The Legalisation Scheme

The Group, in partnership with the Pahang Government-linked agriculture corporation Perbadadan Kemajuan Pertanian Negeri Pahang (PKPP), has incorporated a joint venture entity named Royal Pahang Durian Resources PKPP Sdn Bhd (RPDR PKPP) to undertake a scheme to legitimize illegal durian farmers in the district of Raub in Pahang. RPDR PKPP views the illegal encroachment of Forest Reserves and State- held lands as a serious issue and has endeavored to come up with a win-win solution for all parties.

Going forward, RDPR PKPP firmly believes the Scheme will serve to benefit the national durian industry and position it for sustainable growth.

Why Us?

The Royal Pahang Durian Group operates and manages one of Malaysia’s largest and modern commercial durian plantation of 1,000 acres in Tras, Raub (Pahang).

In recognition of the standards implemented and care taken in cultivation, the farm is regarded as a model farm and has received visits from several officials namely:

  • • Former Secretary General of Ministry of Agriculture Dato’ Mohd Sallehhuddin bin Hassan;
  • • Former Department of Agricultural DG Dato’ Jamal Harizan bin Yang Razali;
  • • Officials from Jabatan Pertanian Kuantan, Termeloh and Raub;
  • • MAQIS (Department of Quarantine & Inspection Malaysia) director general Dato’ Mokhtaruddin;

This is a strong testament to the Group’s ability in project execution and management.

An official letter from Jabatan Pertanian requesting to take a video and pictures showcasing the Group’s plantation as a good example of how a durian plantation on hill slopes ought to be done.
